Joseph Robert “Bob” Lennon
January 29, 1941 – November 29, 2012
A good and gentle man has passed our way and left his imprint on countless hearts.
Bob was a devoted family man, who is survived by his wife, Elaine, and his beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Chris (Kathleen) and Greg (Jen). His grandchildren were the light of his life.
He is also survived by his loving sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bill Nemerson, and their adored families, Christine (his godchild) & Brad and their family, Lisa & Mike, Elizabeth & Daren, and their family. Annual reunions with cousins Frank & Deb Hurst, Ken Murdoch, and Pat Murdoch were keenly anticipated. He was predeceased by cousins Ted Hurst and David Murdoch.
A lifetime spent in the broadcast industry gained him a well-earned reputation as a highly ethical and creative innovator in his chosen field. His career spanned the days of radio to digital television, where he was well-established as one of the leaders of the industry.
An insatiable appetite for all things musical led him to his devoted attendance wherever he lived at the local symphonies, chorales, and operas. A special joy was watching his grandchildren and daughter-in-law’s developing careers in local theatre.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable donations to:
