Kimberly Lyn (Rothgeb) Sikes passed away peacefully at the age of 46 on March 14, 2024, in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born April 22, 1977, in Colorado Springs to Page & Tina Rothgeb. Kimberly graduated from Fountain Fort Carson High School in 1995. She began working for her Dad at Rothgeb Trucking for five years, worked for Dwire Earthmoving & Excavations for 3+ years and then worked for A-A Towing for twelve years.
Kimberly's life was filled with family & friends: she is survived by her her two boys, Austin & Dillon Sikes, her Dad, Page Rothgeb, her sister, Priscilla (Rothgeb) Trujillo, brothers Joseph and Kerry Rothgeb, as well as many nieces and nephews. Kimberly also counted her friends as her family. She often spent the weekends supporting people with what they loved doing. She was always at the racetrack with friends and family to watch her son Austin race no matter the weather, time of day, and where it was. Austin says, “I remember always hearing my Mom in the stands cheering for me. I remember when I won I could hear her from the track yelling and cheering with excitement and crying”. Kimberly also spent many days watching her youngest son Dillon in football, as he played for the school. Her boys were a great sense of pride for her. If Kimberly wasn’t at home she was probably on a roadtrip with her best friend Melissa, to watch Melissa’s daughter, Jadsia run in track. Kimberly was always there if someone needed a shoulder to cry on or a good laugh. There are many photos or memories of events she hosted; birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, holidays, and more. When she said there was “going to be a small get together” it was never small. The only small get-togethers were when Kimberly and the boys had dinner every Wednesday night with their grandparents and people just dropped by.
Kimberly will be missed not just for hosting the best parties but for the laughs she brought to every occasion, the love she brought to every event, and the joy she shared with everyone she met. Love you forever Kimberly Lyn.
