Kyle was born in Colorado Springs to Kris and Judy Kaltenbacher on November 5, 1988. He went to school in Colorado Springs.
Kyle graduated from The Classical Academy HS in 2007 and went on to graduate at University of Colorado, Boulder in 2011 with a degree in Environmental Design (Architecture). He worked as a detailer/draftsman for several construction materials supply companies both locally and in Denver, most recently at Rio Grande Building Supply in Denver.
Kyle was passionate about skiing, playing tennis, painting and his faith. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed the mountains where he often hiked and camped. He had an uncanny knack for making a friend in 30 seconds. He would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere and truly loved getting to know others. A perfect example is his neighbor who spoke no English, but figured out how to let Kyle’s father know via a translator on his phone that “He (his father) had a wonderful son”. Kyle suffered with seizures for the last 5-7 years of his life but you would have never known. He was always happy and more concerned about others. He was a wonderful example to all who were privileged to know him; living and enjoying life to the fullest, with many friends, many interests, staying active, and spending time with his family. Kyle will be greatly missed.
Kyle was a very devoted Traditional Roman Catholic who loved to study his faith and share it with all who would listen. He was passionate about his relationship with God and his devotion to our Blessed Mother.
Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents: Patricia Kaltenbacher (Grandma K); Thomas & Marilyn Soisson (Posie and Grandpa Tom); Aunts/Uncles: Karin Cook, Keith Kaltenbacher, Jeff Soisson; Adopted grandparents: Jim Ivy; Bill & Larita Quinn; Adopted Uncle: Mitch Ivy.
