Larry was a 30-year veteran of Colorado Springs Police Department, where he served as a patrol officer in the traffic division. Larry was also a Vietnam veteran, where he served as a Military Police officer.
In his free time, Larry enjoyed restoring classic cars and displaying them in car shows. He also was a fan of car-racing and NHRA events.
Larry is survived by his spouse, Shirley, and son, Jake Cross of Bonaire, GA. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Cross of Tucson, AZ, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Maudie Cross; sister, Mildred Swearingen-Engel of Industry, IL; and sons, Sterling and Aaron Cross, of Colorado Springs, CO.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, US, on April 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the American Heart Association in Larry's name.
