Linda at age 62, native of Salem, Oregon, passed away after an extended illness in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Carrol and Esther Allenby. She lived in Salem most of her life with her five sisters, Darlene, Ardith, Kathy, Alyce and Carrol. Linda moved to Colorado in 2005, to start a new journey in her life. Linda will be remembered with a smile on her face and for her contagious laughter. Linda was loved by everyone whose path she crossed and life she touched. She attended McNary High School and graduated in 1966. She loved to paint and go for walks with her pet dog, Brandi.
Linda is survived by her daughters, April Bertram and her husband, Randy of Colorado Springs and Shirley Barker in South Carolina and four grandchildren, Brittney, Davey, Daniel and Kayla.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, we'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again. We miss you dearest Linda, you are truly loved by all!"
Celebration of Life Services will be from 2-4:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 at Macleay Christian Retreat at 2887 74th Avenue SE, Salem, Oregon.
