

Above all, Dr. Hill was known for his love of God, God’s Word and God’s people.
He is survived by his children, Mike Hill and Kim DeGraaf, his siblings, Steve and Gwen, four grandchildren, Jen, Jordan, Ashton, and Logan, and one great-grandson, Dominic. He is preceded in death by his wife Kay of 56 years, and his parents, Louis and Helen Hill.
Louis was born on December 18, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia and attended Jordan Vocational High School where he met Kay; they were married in 1961. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Science and History and received his teaching certificate from Samford University, and then his Masters of Education in School Administration from Auburn University.
He taught for ten years in the public schools, then worked for five years in school administration for elementary, junior high and high schools in Columbus, Georgia, before being promoted to principal. Through his boyhood church he became an ordained Southern Baptist Minister. In 1972, he began working for The Navigators, and moved to Texas, Oklahoma and finally to Colorado Springs; a career that spanned 22 Years. In 1995 he completed Doctorate of Ministry after obtaining his Master of Arts in Theology, both from the Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida.
In 1995, Louis founded Reformed Discipleship Ministries where he taught the Reformed doctrine and focused on discipling men in their walk with God. He traveled extensively and spoke at churches around the country. He was an adjunct professor at New Geneva Theological Seminary in Colorado Springs, and at Sangre de Cristo Seminary near Westcliffe, Colorado. Dr. Hill taught regularly at Village Seven Presbyterian Church.
All are welcome at 10:00 am on August 21st, 2021 at Village Seven Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs for a Memorial Service to celebrate the life and ministry of Dr. Louis A Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations can made out to Foothills Community Church, a PCA church that Louis and Kay helped establish in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
