

Margaret Ann Service died suddenly in her home in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, October 5th. with her daughter Valerie, grandson Christian and granddaughter Lauren by her side. She was 78 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don, where they were married for 49 years. Maggie is survived by two children; daughter, Valerie Lesser and son, Bill Service, also 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Maggie graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1954 with a BS degree in nursing. She worked for the American Red Cross for many years while living in Wichita Falls, Texas. Maggie also received a Masters degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and later became a Nursing Professor at Midwestern State University. She dedicated her life helping others in need.
Maggie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Maggie lived all over the world with her Air Force pilot, Don, AKA "Raven40" who flew in both Vietnam and Laos. She volunteered her time in numerous activities with church and community groups for many years. She will be sorely missed.
A vigil/prayer service will take place from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Thursday, October 13, 2011 with Funeral Mass at 10:00AM on Friday, October 14. Both services will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Address: 6455 Brook Park Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80918.
