
Marilyn Lee Nudson, 90, died on August 24, 2024 at Winslow Court Assisted Living Center. Mrs. Nudson was a registered nurse for 50 years. She taught nursing at Stormont-Vail School of Nursing in Topeka Kansas; was a Clinical Manager at Penrose Hospital; and a Supervisor and Director of Nursing at Pikes Peak Manor in Colorado Springs. She then worked for 8 years part-time in the office of Dr. Terry Struck.
She was born February 11, 1934 in Topeka, KS. The daughter of George L. and Reva (Hackett) Hawley. She graduated from Topeka High School; attended Washburn University in Topeka; graduated from Stormont-Vail School of Nursing; and held a degree in Health Arts from College of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.
Mrs. Nudson was a life member of Torchbearer Zeta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority; a life member of Stormont-Vail School of Nursing Alumni; and a member of the National Gerontological Nursing Association.
She was married in Topeka on July 2, 1954 to Richard Lee Nudson who preceded her in death in 1991. She had been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1965.
Survivors include sons Scott and Thomas; daughters Cathleen and Lori; a brother Dr. William J. Hawley; grandchildren Mike, Dan, Joey, Erik, Sabrina, Shawn, Katie and Amanda who preceded her in death in 2008; great-grandchildren Trysten, Takoda, Makayla, Malachi, Conor, Blake, Gavin, James, Caelum and Vela.
