

Marjorie E. Powell, 80, passed away peacefully at The Bridge on October 5, 2012. Marge was born in Durango, Colorado to Wava (Rich) and George Stuckman, eventually moving to Colorado Springs where she resided for over 60 years. Her early childhood memories include family outings searching for artifacts, camping and fishing. She graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1949 where she enjoyed playing several sports. Marge later married and raised 3 wonderful sons whom she adored. She worked for School District 11 in many capacities for over 25 years. She enjoyed cheering on her boys and grandchildren at sporting events, the Rockies and Broncos, traveling and dining with "the ladies" and "trying for the jackpot in Cripple Creek", Her other loves included playing cards, gardening, Indian pottery and Roman Villa. Marge will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and an honest and caring friend who was easy to get along with.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ralph Downing and Gerald Stuckman.
Marge is survived by her sons, Rick (Melissa), Gary (Kathy) and Randy (Lori), and grandchildren, Tyler, Kipp, Logan, Meghan, Ryne, Miranda and Mallori.
The family would like to thank Connie, Caren and the staff at The Bridge and Odyssey Hospice for their wonderful care and support over the past 6 years. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice .
