

Mary Ann (Quarnstrom) Erickson 89 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died March 29, 2023, at Springs Ranch Memory Care Facility after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on January 1, 1934 to John and Ester Quarnstrom on the farm near Dassel, Minnesota. Mary took business class at Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colorado. She married Edwin Earl Erickson on April 28, 1956 and they had 3 children, David, Kenneth and Marilyn. She worked as a teller and banker in Grand Junction, Colorado, Las Cruces, New Mexico and Denver, Colorado for many years before she retired. After retiring she worked as a clerk at Joann’s Fabrics in Aurora, Colorado for a few years. She loved her family and church. She loved to travel, do Sudoku, sew and try out new recipes. Mary is survived by sons David (Lenee’) Erickson and Kenneth (Lynn) Erickson, daughter Marilyn (Troy) Rippie, grandchildren Brent (Alyssa) Erickson, Beth (Chris) Daino, Mitch (Christie) Erickson, Gavin Erickson, Michelle Rippie, great-granddaughters Caley Erickson, Lexi Erickson, Mackenzie Erickson, great-grandson Jedediah Daino, sisters Karin Haag and Pat Reisdorf and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Erickson, father John Quarnstrom, mother Ester Quarnstrom, sister Dorothy Oatman, and brother Grant Quarnstrom. Cremation was performed by Chapel Hill Olinger Funeral Home. Ashes will be spread in Colorado mountains at a later date by family. Memorials or donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
