Mary Ann retired as a Secretary for School District 3.
She enjoyed playing Mahjong and Shuffleboard with her friends, where she was involved within numerous clubs within The Villages.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Thornton. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Billy) Farrow of The Villages, FL; a sister, Marie Smith of Greencastle, IN, and by 2 grandchildren, Holly Mitchell and Cole Janne.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors – 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs.
