It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Patricia Darlene Krasner on October 23, 2024, at the age of 83. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Patricia Darlene “West” Krasner was born on April 25th, 1941, in Moline, Illinois. She was the daughter of James Monroe West and Florence Evelyn “Sandberg” West. Growing up, she demonstrated a profound sense of duty and loyalty, traits that would define her throughout her life.
She married Gilbert Laverne Deal in 1960 and later she would remarry Arthur Krasner in 1973. She was a dedicated mother to Kathy Utley, Christine Krasner, Pamela Sparks and Bryan Krasner and cherished every moment spent with her family. Her grandchildren, Adam Krasner, Margo Trapper, Pamela Rose, Aaron Krasner, Freddy Sparks, Jenny Utley, Sarah Utley and Bryan Utley held a special place in her heart, and she took great joy in watching them grow.
Throughout her life, Patricia Darlene Krasner was known for her unwavering dedication to family and faith. Her passion for ceramics and knitting brought her great joy and she shared this enthusiasm with everyone around her.
One of her greatest legacies is the love and wisdom she imparted to her family and friends. Her strength, courage, and resilience in the face of life's challenges were an inspiration to all. She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special and valued. She will always be known as “Aunt Pat” to all her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly to the day she died.
Patricia Darlene Krasner is survived by her daughter, Kathy Utley, son Bryan Samuel Krasner, and numerous friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by Her mother and father, her husband, Arthur Krasner, her brother, Roy E. West and sister, Dolores Baker, her daughters, Pamela Sparks and Christine Krasner, her grandsons, Adam Krasner, Aaron Krasner and her granddaughter Pamela Rose Krasner, and her niece Cindy Darlene Baker.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 6 pm. The family is planning a service in the Quad Cities later. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Moline, Illinois. The family requests that donations be made to Alleman High School’s “Resource Center” in Rock Island Illinois in her memory and to the “Deacons Fund” at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs.
We will forever cherish the memories we have of Patricia Darlene Krasner and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on in all of us.
Rest in peace Patricia Darlene Krasner. You will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
