

Paul was born on July 19, 1939, the 3rd son of Daniel and Mary O’Hara of Brooklyn, New York. Paul grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn along with his four siblings.
Paul graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1963 with a degree in Psychology. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer of the United States Coast Guard where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He served in Hawaii and Chesapeake Bay. Upon leaving the service, he embarked on a successful Wall Street career.
Paul was known in both his professional and private life for his integrity, intellect and above all his sense of humor. He enjoyed history, reading, fishing, golf, music and fast cars. He was dedicated to his family and beloved by his friends. Many describe him as larger-than-life.
Paul is survived by and is mourned by his wife Susan, his sister Patricia Paul-Cyril, sons Paul Jr. (Allison) & Matthew, daughter Stephanie Bowron (James), grandchildren Mary, Samuel, Meara & Blake Bowron and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his Father, Daniel Francis O’Hara, his Mother, Mary Veronica O’Hara (nee Moriarity), his Sister Rosemary V. Parnell, his Brothers Daniel Francis Jr. & David Michael and his nephew Francis Daniel.
A visitation for Paul will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors with Light Refreshments from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
