Phil was preceded in death by his first wife, of eleven years, Mary Joanne Houston.
On July 31,1982 he married Gladys (Petre) Perry at First Presbyterian Church where they met while both were serving on the Deacon Board.
He had a lifelong passion for music! He played saxophones, flute, clarinet, Native American flutes and was trying to learn to play the guitar. Over many years, he taught and shared his passion of the saxophone, flute and clarinet with many students.

He had many interests. These included photography, RV ing, traveling, reading, running, biking, riding his trike, history, studying scripture and always searching a variety of topics on You Tube. He played with a group of friends in the Swing Connection, Bob Dunn’s saxophone quartet and the Air Force Alumni Band. Phil played saxophone, when called, with the Colorado Springs Symphony.
At First Presbyterian Church, he served as an Elder, Deacon, sang in Big Blue, played in the worship services, and was a member of both Christian Heirs and Becomers Sunday School classes.
Phil received his strength from the Lord and overcame many illnesses before the Lord took him home.
