Phyl was born February 20, 1918 in Litchfield, MN. She enjoyed the life of an Air Force wife by traveling throughout Europe and the United States. Phyl was an avid sports fan – her favorites being football and hockey. She was also a speed skater, bowler, and sport hunter. She loved attending tailgates at the Air Force Academy with friends.
Phyl was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Curtis A. Anderson of Kerkhoven, MN and her brother Stanley Copouls of Minneapolis, MN. She is survived by their son Charles J. Anderson and his wife Kristina Anderson, sister-in-law Fern Copouls of Minneapolis, MN and sister-in-law Audrey Smith of Renville, MN, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., November 11, 2016 at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life.
