Phyllis Jean Chisman was born to Raymond and Merrill (Richardson) Offutt in Colorado Springs on September 26,1936. Phyllis passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 30,2025 at the age of 89.
A memorial service will be held at the Swan Law funeral home 501 N. Cascade Ave in Colorado Springs on December 22nd 2025. A reception will follow at Swan Law.
Phyllis was a native of Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker and enjoyed hosting holidays and family gatherings. Phyllis also enjoyed traveling She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a great grandmother. She brought joy and love to every life she touched, her family was the most important part of her life. Phyllis married Ronald Neil Chisman on June 18,1954. She was a devoted wife of 62 years.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter; Kim, five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a brother Richard Offutt. Phyllis was proceeded in death by her parents Raymond and Merrill Offutt, husband Ronald, son Steven and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice.
Phyllis will be missed by family and friends. You may be gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
