

Randy Johnson AKA JJ, age 73, passed away on the morning of February 17, 2026 (the exact day, 39 years to the date of his mother passing 2.17.87). Randy was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 18,1953, to Augustine Williams and Robert Huricks.
Randy lived a full life, he was in the Air Force Academy and fought in the Vietnam War. He also trained K9’s while in the AFA. Randy had several dogs throughout his life and loved each one unconditionally. He was a 5th degree black belt, Randy was a New Orleans Saints fan, loved to cook and was amazing at it. Randy loved the outdoors and loved to go fishing. Randy loved listening to his R&B music. Randy had 6 grandchildren who he loved dearly and loved telling them stories of his younger years growing up in Louisiana. Randy had a smile that could light up a room, he is loved by many and will be forever missed.
Randy is survived by his ex wife, Angela Johnson; brothers, Allen Johnson, Robert Huricks, Erskine Huricks; sisters, Carolyn Mondy Johnson, Yvette Haynes, Sheryl Dickerson; daughters, Felisha and Latisha Johnson; son, Randy Johnson; grandsons, Ricardo, Deveron and Domani Johnson; granddaughters, Augustine Dean, Envy Johnson; son-in-law, Robert Dean; daughter-in-law, Shemiell Geary; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and several other family members.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine Williams and Robert Huricks; brothers, Ronnie Williams, Donald Huricks, Kevin Huricks, Barry Huricks, Reginald Huricks; sisters, Rosemary Smith, Myrtle McLemore, Barbara Jean Williams; and his beloved grandson, Julian Dean.
Services will be privately held.
