

Raymond Lee Dobson expired in Colorado Springs at the age of 89. He made his home in Colorado Springs for the past 53 years. Ray served in the US Navy during World War II and the Korean War. When discharged from service after WWII he attended college at West Texas State College and was married to M. Geraldine (Gerry) Endres.
He is survived by his wife and five children, Gary, Larry, Merrill, Cheryl Dobson and Deborah Roberts. Nine grandchildren, Trevor, Ryan, Brant, Chad, Tina Dobson, Kate Brodbeck, Kimberly Majors, Aimee Bove’, Gail Keller and 8 great grandchildren, Trenton, Alexandria, Annabell, Cambria Dobson, Bella & Olivia Brodbeck and Ari Bove’. He leaves behind his sister Patricia Fynquist and his brother Gene Dobson.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents Leo & Olive Orfield Dobson, Brother Charles, Clair, Don Robert, Joseph and sisters Mary Dobson, Maurine Frizzell, Virginia Vaughn and Gloria Garton.
Ray was a Medical Laboratory Technologists while living and working in Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado Springs. The last 30 years he changed his career to custom wood working and finish carpentry here in Colorado Springs. Legacies left behind to his sons and grandsons are hunting, fishing and wood working. He left to his daughters, granddaughters and great granddaughters a legacy of how to be a supportive, caring and loving person. Ray was a member of the Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus in Oklahoma and Knights in Colorado Springs Council 4699, American Legion in Woodburn, Iowa, and National Radiologist Assoc. in Texas and served on the Board of Trustees for 10 years.
A Rosary will be held, Monday, May 11th at 7 pm with viewing to follow at Memorial Gardens Mortuary, Colorado Springs, with a viewing on Tuesday, May 12th at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church in Colorado Springs at 10:30 am with mass of celebration of life to follow at 11:00 am.
