

CW4 Robert N. Bowren, 86, of Colorado Springs, CO, entered the kingdom of heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 25, 2018. Mr. Bowren was born in Charlotte, Texas, to Sara and Ewell Bowren. He was proceeded in death by his first wife, Maria T. Bowren, in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Bettie L Bowren, daughters, Martha Judiscak, Michelle Johnson (Gary), son, Robert W. Bowren (Christine), stepsons, Scott Green (Jackie) and Jeff Green, as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Clifton Bowren, and sister, Sarabeth Rebe, both of San Antonio, Texas.
Robert (Bob) served his country for 30 years in the United States Army. He served in Korea, Germany,
and two combat tours to Vietnam. He earned a BS from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and an AS from Pikes Peak Community College. Following his military service retirement, he worked for 18 years as
an instrument repair technician at Synthes LTD. USA.
Bob was gifted with a beautiful voice and loved to serve and praise the Lord in song. He served as a music and choir director at Belleview Baptist Church and Anchor Way Baptist Church. At a young age, Bob learned to play the guitar and would play in small bands around Texas and later, while serving in the Army in Germany. Bob would love to play the guitar and sing western and gospel songs with his family and friends, whenever they gathered together. His voice was legendary among all who heard him. Bob was an avid fan of University of Texas Football and the Dallas Cowboys. He always enjoyed cheering them on. Hook ‘em Horns!
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, from 7pm to 9pm at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N Cascade. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, 4808 Palmer Park Blvd, on October 29 at 11am with a luncheon to be held at the church immediately following the service.
