

Bob was born June 14, 1947 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Clarence and Dorothy (Raymond) Stout. After graduating from Roy J. Wasson High School, he attended the University of Colorado and the Pennsylvania State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Engineering degree in architectural engineering.
Bob went on to work and live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Dallas, Texas before ultimately settling back in Colorado Springs. He was the President and owner of R.W. Stout Construction where, as a second generation custom home builder, he constructed family homes across Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. He was an award winning builder and was known across the region for his distinctive home designs.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Stout. He is survived by his children, Kelley (Stout) Borchert and Robert Stout, grandchildren, Lizzie Jo (12), Owen (5), and Nathan (1), and sister, Kay (Stout) Long.
Bob passed after a protracted battle with cancer (multiple myeloma). Throughout this battle, he remained brave and resolute serving as an inspiration to his family.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
