Roger lived a life defined by love, service, and quiet strength. He was married for 52 wonderful years to his beloved wife, Mina Sue, with whom he built a family grounded in warmth, laughter, and faith. Together they have six children — Louis, Kirsten, Sara, Craig, Kurt, and Kyle — who carry forward his steady example and kind heart. Roger was also a proud grandfather to Andrew, Brady, Lucia, Brynn, Sierra, Elea, Annais, Maelle, and Crystal, each of whom cherished the adventures, stories, and memories shared with their “Beepa.”
A skilled storyteller with an incredible memory for the details of years past, Roger loved recounting the moments that shaped his family’s history and his years as a pilot. He was an avid skier, a passionate traveler, and found great joy in exploring the outdoors — often taking his grandchildren on memorable RV trips that became family treasures.
At home, Roger was the dependable “Mr. Fix-It,” a talented cook and grill master, and a dedicated gardener who found peace in tending to the earth. Each evening, he liked to finish the day with a rum and coke, a small but fitting tribute to a man who lived fully and faithfully.
Above all, Roger was a good and faithful servant — a gentle patriarch whose guidance and love supported his family in every season of life. His legacy of integrity, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A pavilion service to honor Roger’s life will be held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery on November 14th at 12:00 p.m.
