Roger Joseph McCarville

Roger Joseph McCarville, 83, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on March 04, 2025. Roger was born on August 6th, 1941 to Francis (Frank) McCarville and Cecelia (Terhorst) McCarville in Beloit, Wisconsin. After graduating from Brother Dutton Catholic School in Beloit, Wisconsin he went on to study at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He had met Judy Murray in middle school, and they wed in 1961, going on to have 4 children - Mary, Joanne (JoJo), Daniel (Dan) and Denise.

Roger was preceded by his parents Frank and Cecelia; 11 of his older siblings - Robert, Jane, Roland, Monica, Sheila, George, JoAnne, David, Michael, Barbara and Dennis and also his wife, Judy (Murray) McCarville.

He is survived by his daughter Mary (McCarville) Pearson (Mark Pearson) and granddaughters Leeza Pearson and Brydgette Sanchez (Miguel Sanchez); his daughter Joanne McCarville and granddaughters Debra Mezera (Aron Mezera) and Kirby Wahl; his son Daniel McCarville (Tonya McCarville) and granddaughter Ashlynn Hass and grandson Jake McCarville and his daughter Denise (McCarville) Werner (Stephen Werner) and daughters Megan Henry (Andrew Henry) and Amanda Carlson. Roger is also survived by his 6 great grandchildren Adryian, Natalee, Isabella, Landon, Maverick and Josiah.

He also had a distant brother, Patrick McCarville; the family is uncertain whether or not he is still living.

Roger moved to Colorado in 1975 and spent the majority of his life self employed through various entrepreneurial ventures and real estate. He enjoyed going to the mountains, visiting as many coffee shops as possible, eating out at local restaurants, traveling near and wide, and going grandchildren's events, orchestras, plays, and political events. Roger was extremely passionate about politics and religion and could often be found discussing real world issues with anyone that would listen, as he never met a stranger! We will all miss him so.

A Visitation and Rosary service for Roger will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mary Help Of Christians Traditional Catholic Church, 920 E Cache La Poudre St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 21, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 920 E Cache La Poudre St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A reception will occur Friday, March 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 920 E Cache La Poudre St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Resthaven Cemetery in Fort Collins, Colorado.
