

Ron was born on February 20, 1945, to Paul and Grace (Brizendine) Geist, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he lived his entire life. He is the youngest of five children, David Geist, Carol Chisman, Pauline Reust, and Bob Geist.
Ron met his wife, Linda (Jagger) Geist, in Sterling, Colorado, when he was 20 years old. During this time, he served in the United States Army for two years. Ron and Linda were married on November 17, 1967, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ron and Linda had two daughters, Tracie and Christina. Ron and Linda enjoyed spending time with friends playing card games and going out to dinner. He also enjoyed panning for gold, going fishing, and vintage mustang cars. During his retirement years, Ron found a new hobby in rock polishing. His other favorite thing was his nightly bowl of ice cream. Ron was an active member of Eastborough Church of the Nazarene where he proudly served as a member of the greeter ministry.
Ron worked for the Colorado Springs Utilities for 36 years where he worked as a Corrosion Control Engineer. After retiring, Ron went on to work as a Pipeline Inspector for PSI for 13 years. Ron was a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) for over fifty (50) years.
Ron is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Tracie (Scott) Arnold, Christina (Mark) Sumler, his five beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth (Devin) Reed, Jayme (Robert) McKey, Bailey Arnold, Morgen Sumler, and Jayden Sumler; and his three (3) great-grandchildren, Kimber Reed, Sutton Reed, and Baby Reed to be born in 2026. He is also survived by his older sister Pauline Reust, among other members of his family including brother and sister in-laws, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at Eastborough Church of the Nazarene, 4123 E Pikes Peak Ave Colorado Springs, CO 80909, on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 1 p.m.
