After graduating from Berkley High School in 1943, she worked with the Naval supply division to help the war effort, followed by attending business school and secretarial work. Gil and Jean moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 1966 when Gil was transferred with Holly Sugar Corporation. She worked part time at the Antlers Hotel as a banquet waitress for several years. She lived life to the full enjoying family skiing and camping trips, but especially, her lifelong love of playing golf. She was a member of the Patty Jewett Women’s Golf Club for a full 50 years, as well as Valley Hi Women’s Club, playing mostly four to five days a week until the age of 93, at which time a fall sidelined her. She loved flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds and sunshine.
Jean joins her daughter Susan, her parents, Ed and Alta, and her older brother, Jack in Heaven.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, devoted husband, Gil, loving daughters, Jan (Bob) and Ann (Tim), grandchildren, Kristen (Justin), Scott (Kelsey), Ben, Daniel and Adam and great grandchildren, Dylan, Alyssa, Judah, Annabelle and Oliver.
