Sallie Irene Ives

Sallie Irene Ives, age 64, of Colorado Springs passed away on November 8th, 2023. A third-generation native of Colorado, she was born on November 16th, 1958 to Barbara and Jan Van Hoosier and sister, Kathy Holdeman. She graduated from Palmer High School, where she played flute in the marching band. She married James Ives on November 17th, 1979, adventuring together for nearly 44 years including raising three daughters, Sarah Ives (Patrick Schnaidt), Jenny Ives, and Stephanie Barbari (Garrett). Sallie was a beautiful mother who supported her daughters in multiple sports including ice skating, soccer, softball, golf, band and more. Sallie worked the majority of her career as a medical transcriptionist, most recently with UCHealth. She was an avid reader, loved going to the Garden of the Gods in search of bighorn sheep, exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, sharing her love of birds with her girls, and wholeheartedly supporting those she loved in their careers and endeavors. She is survived by her sister Kathy, husband James, daughters Sarah, Jenny, and Stephanie, granddaughters Emilia and Annabelle, puppies Jackson and Adie, and many many other loving family members.

Her life will be celebrated November 16th at 10:00 AM at Mountain View Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs.
