Sandra Annette Claude

Sandra (Sandi) Annette Hale Jung Claude passed away on May 13, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband Christian Jung who died in 1973, her parents Kenneth and Rhoda Hale and brother Steven Hale.

Sandra was born July 28, 1941 in Washington DC. She is survived by her brother Richard Hale, sister-in-law Sharilyn Hale, son Christian Jung, daughter Cathryn Calvert, daughter Shireen Weber, son Scott Jung, son-in-law Mitch Calvert, son-in-law Todd Weber, daughter-in-law Leslie Jung, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Sandra met her husband Christian Jung in Lahore, Pakistan. After living in Afghanistan in the late 1960’s, they moved to Nebraska and would live in Omaha where Christian was a professor at the university. After her husband Christian’s unexpected death in 1973, Sandra remarried Conrad “Doc” Claude in 1975. They divorced a few years later.

Throughout Sandra’s life she lived in so many places…New York, Virginia, Maryland, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado and in Lahore, Pakistan and Kabul, Afghanistan.

Sandra graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor’s degree in English, retired from ConAgra in 2005 and was a part of the PEO Sisterhood for 48 years. She relocated from Omaha to Colorado Springs in 2005 where she could be closer to her parents, her brothers and her daughter Cathryn’s family. Sandra picked her home in Colorado Springs so she could see Pikes Peak every day from her home.
