Shirley Joann White

Joanne White, born Shirley Joanne Kendig on July 29, 1936, in Monte Vista, Colorado, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025. Raised in Colorado Springs, she graduated from Palmer High School, formerly known as Colorado Springs High School, in 1954.

Joann was known for her unwavering passion for caregiving, dedicating her career to retail sales while nurturing those around her. Gardening and cooking were among her favorite hobbies, and she took great joy in hosting gatherings, ensuring that no one ever went hungry. Her selflessness and nurturing spirit extended not only to her family but also to her stepchildren and countless others she welcomed into her life.

Joann is survived by her beloved son, Ron Dietrich, (Denise Bergondo) She was preceded in death by her children, David Dietrich and Trisha Dietrich, as well as Edwin, Wayne, and John.

A devoted animal lover, her dog Bo and granddog Farley were constant companions and held special places in her heart. Joann's legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held where family and friends can gather to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in her name.
