Beloved Husband and Uncle. Born on April 12, 1919 in Boston Massachusetts, Maj. McClain survived by
his parents Alonzo McClain and Gertrude H. Dickerson. Theodore married Gertrude Wilkerson on May
20, 1943, their marriage lasting 65 years. He was a Colorado resident of 47 years. Maj. McClain was a
U.S. war veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He spent 27 years in the U.S. Army, being awarded three
Purple Hearts along with numerous other honors. He retired from the U.S Army in 1968. Theodore spent
32 years as a United States Postal Services Clerk Manager, retiring with honors.
Major McClain is survived by his nieces Saundra and Valerie McClain, Darlene Irizarry, and Marissa and Natashia Gebre-Zion.
Theodore passed away on January 13, 2011, making it to 91 years of age, preceding his wife Gertrude
McClain. Major McClain's viewing will be held on January 21,2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Memorial
Gardens in Colorado Springs, CO. Services will be held on January 22, 2011 at 10:00 am at Memorial
Gardens in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
