

Tillie was born in LaMoure, North Dakota October 19, 1948 to Clifton and Lucy (Fiest) Dunn. She graduated from LaMoure High School in 1966. She later moved to Aberdeen, South Dakota where she met Reno Heupel in 1968. They were married January 9, 1971. Tillie and Reno lived in Aberdeen until moving to Colorado Springs in 1986, eventually settling in Black Forest in 1992. She loved the forest, her trees and all the animals that visit their property.
Tillie worked in the banking industry for most of her life playing various roles over the years. Her real enjoyment in life came from racing cars with her husband, children and grandchildren, and travelling the world. She was a fun-loving woman fiercely committed to her family and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Tillie is survived by her husband Reno; children, Shane Heupel (Ann), Michelle Heupel (Colin), and Jolene Heupel (Gene); 3 grandchildren Kasey Boyle, Ryin Carlon, Sebastian Vennard; and 3 great grandchildren, Hunter, Tuff and Bailey Boyle. Tillie is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Therisa Hauser, William Dunn, Ambrose Dunn, Edward Dunn, Mary Kusekoski and Lucy Stroh, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on February 17, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, located at 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO, 80903.
The funeral service will follow on February 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the same location.
A committal service will take place on February 17, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, located at 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO, 80925.
