Timothy Dolan

Timothy was born on November 8, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York, to Thomas and Patricia Dolan. He had three brothers, Michael, Patrick and Matthew. Growing up, Tim enjoyed playing baseball, hockey and bike riding. The Dolan family loved to take camping trips and spending time with extended family.

Timothy graduated from Clarkstown Senior High School North in 1978, and from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. During his attendance at college, Tim’s family began their tradition of vacationing at the New Jersey shore. This tradition continued for over forty- years.

Timothy earned his MBA at Farleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. He spent a semester studying in London and traveled to Amsterdam and France while studying abroad.

In 1994, Timothy met Christine Grannis while they worked together for Teleport Communications Group (TCG) in Staten Island, New York. Timothy and Christine were married on August 3, 1996. While Christine attended law school, Timothy continued to work for TCG. He later worked for WorldCom, MCI and Verizon as a Project Manager.

During their marriage, Timothy and Christine lived in Riverdale, New York and eventually moved to Jackson, New Jersey. They adopted a shelter dog, Maya, a Pomeranian-Pekinese mix who became Tim’s constant companion. On October 8, 2009, Timothy and Christine welcomed the birth of their son, Christopher Thomas, their pride and joy. Timothy enjoyed many activities with Christoper, including Cub Scouts, soccer, and basketball.

While living in Jackson, Timothy enjoyed playing hockey, playing in a band and traveling to Colorado to ski with his brother, Patrick, and sister-in-law Pam. Tim was very active in local community government affairs. He was the chairman of the Jackson Township Charter Study Commission and was also a member of the Jackson Township Planning Board.

In July of 2022, Timothy fulfilled a lifelong dream when he moved his family to the mountains of Colorado. Timothy was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants and New York Rangers. His biggest passion was his love of music, in particular, the Grateful Dead and Rolling Stones.

Timothy is preceded in death by his loving parents, Thomas and Patricia Dolan.

Timothy is survived by his loving Wife, Christine, and his son, Christopher; his siblings, Michael and his Wife, Roseann; Patrick and his Wife, Pamela, Matthew and his Wife Suzanne; as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends.

A funeral mass will be held on October 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 8755 Scarborough Drive, Colorado Springs, CO. A pre-mass memorial will be held from

9:00 am – 10:00 am at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or the Audubon Society.
