Titus "Ti" Ray Mix

Of all of life's many blessings, the Lord gave to us, Ti.

Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.

Ti WON an arduous 17 month battle against leukemia, with his Savior, Jesus Christ, by his side. Leading the Way.

We thank you oh Lord for Ti.

Ti was born the 7th child of 8 to James and Isabel Mix on August 9, 1950, in Pasco, WA. His family soon moved to Anaconda, MT. There they lived until they found their way to Colorado Springs, CO. He grew up as a formative young boy on the “westside”, winning the 3rd grade spelling bee for El Paso County. As time went on, his family relocated to Peyton, CO. He was a basketball standout in high school and was elected Homecoming King in his junior year. He graduated in 1968, then went on to Northwest Nazarene College for a few years in Nampa, ID. He enlisted in the U.S. Army there after for a few more years. Finding his way back to Colorado Springs, he worked in Civil Service for the USAFA as well as other places. He, for many a time, would band a group together to hike up Pikes Peak and back, year after year. He soon engaged in a career of real estate and made Monument, CO his area of choice to become a wunderkind in his field.

Many lifelong friendships were developed because of this. His genuine caring nature for those he served, making the way for them to achieve their dreams, was beyond satisfying for him. In 1986 he entered a relationship with Steven Baker, and they together realized a 39-year life commitment. Truth be told, he was content with the life he lived. Yes, there was sacrifice and strife, but he persevered through whatever came his way.

Ti loved to journal and made it a daily practice as well as getting out to exercise almost all the time. He was caring, generous, and kind. He was an amazing individual! He dearly loved his family and friends, and above all, The Lord. He is survived by his brother Paul, sister Eunice, and life partner Steven.
