Wayne H Saltmer

Wayne, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away after a long battle with COPD. He was born February 14, 1950 in Somerville New Jersey. Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran who served two tours in Vietnam during the war. He retired from the Postal Service at the age of 55 and enjoyed working part time at various jobs.

Wayne loved being around other people and would entertain them with his life stories. He loved fishing until his illness made that impossible. Also a car enthusiast, his pursuit of his dream vintage Corvette was probably more fun than owning one.

Wayne is survived by his mother Audrey Ziegler of Florida, sister Georgette Armstrong and brother-in-law Doug of California, niece Heather Grove of Nevada, along with a grand niece and nephew. Wayne touched so many lives with his kindness and outgoing personality. His good friend Max offered support and helping hands during the long illness.
