Albin Frank Radzik, Sr., lovingly known as “Popi”, passed peacefully on March 2nd, 2015. Preceded in death by the love of his life Evelyn; his loving wife of 46 years.
Al, “Popi” was born on September 27th, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised to survive and provide during the great depression. At 17 years old he proudly served his country in WWII as a Sea Bee. After the war he met Evelyn and went on to raise 9 children.
He developed a career as a demolition contractor. The rigors of travel lead him to his true passion as an auctioneer for more than 50 years.
His proudest moments include joining his brothers in defense of the country in WWII and the growth and success of his auctioneering business. What he most cherished in life was his wife, 9 children, 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and the many young and old who adopted him as their “Popi”.
Loved by all, missed by all, Popi will forever be in our hearts.
Albin will have a visitation on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 PM, and a Funeral Service on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM, both in the Valley View Chapel at Montecito Mortuary with burial to follow at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, California.
