Uncle Tony was a special person to me

He was a doctor and a very respectable man
I drove his old car Chevy Nova 1975
That my dad had bought from him 
That car meant a lot to me
As it served me well during medical school and into residency.
It was the first car
My son Andrew had ridden in when I took him home from the hospital when he was born 

Uncle Toni was very inspirational to me
I will miss him 

Was so happy to see all of you earlier this year.  
Rest In Peace Uncle.  Thank you for being part of our lives. 🙏🏼🌺😇❤️

Dear Kuya Tony:

My heart is filled with sadness. It has been wonderful to have known you; from Chicago (where we used to drive you on the south side as you completed your Masters's in Public Health) to Cerritos, California. You have been kind and generous to Cesar and me. Political conversations with you were always fun. You touched countless lives in your lifetime, and even after you’re gone, you live through your good deeds. You will always be missed.

May you Rest in Peace in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am deeply grateful and honored to have gotten to know Tito Tony and family in Rome way back 2012, even before I was ordained to the priesthood.
Since then, we frequently exchanged letters, stories, and thoughts, all those years: even by snail mail, which was working well in Europe; and by email later on, thanks to Tita Monette, when snail mail could no longer keep up.
 I was so glad to be with him and the family again in Rome in 2018; every time I look at this photo I will fondly remember that especially joyful reunion.

Godspeed, and my heartfelt thanks for everything, Tito Tony. I promise to remember you, Tita Cora and the entire family in my prayers; and to pray for you in the Mass, especially every year on your anniversary.

We are all making our journey through this life; and you have just gone ahead of us, after a long and fruitful life...with its great joys, and challenges and difficulties: and you made it through in stride.
 “...in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through Him who loved us.” (Rom. 8:37)

 Dear Tito Tony, intercede for all of us who are still journeying here, so that with God's mercy and grace, in His perfect time, we can finally see each other again in our definitive and heavenly home.

This photo was taken on February 2015 when I went to USA. This was the last time I saw and met Tito Tony in person. He gave me a St. Anthony De Padua keychain at that time and I still carry it with me  everyday.
