Aritina Cotruța was born in October 23rd, 1927 in Bujoru, in the South of Romania from a large family of 10 children, 5 boys and five girls. Her father was a skilled carpenter and her mother a perfectly organized, neat and loving parent working hard on their hard task to raise 10 children. Aritina emigrated with her late husband Tudor in 1981, running from the Communist regime of the dictator then in charge of her Country, and came to America, establishing a home in the Southern California area of Loma Linda. Her three daughters followed her and they all have been enjoying raising their children in the loving environment of "Mamaia and Tataia's" (grandma and grandpa), close by welcoming home.
Aritina was a talented dress designer and maker of beautiful, high quality clothing, back in Romania and here as well. She loved her work, she enjoyed her clientele and was always on the go, working, cooking, baking, taking care of poor people, sending packages of living essentials to where was needed in her home country. Her house was always open to so many friends, relatives, visiting the area, being such a great hostess. She lived in modesty and was a faithful Christian, a member of her SDA Romanian Church in Loma Linda.
Aritina is survived by her three daughters Silvia, Claudia and Daniela, their husbands, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Our beautiful mother, we will keep your loving memory in within our hearts forever and follow your footsteps in kindness, gratidute, generosity and faith. Farewell, until we meet again!!
