Benjamin Lewis Simpson

Son of Selma Kirkpatrick Simpson and Bifold Simpson, he was born May 20, 1946, in Tucson, Arizona. He grew up in San Pedro and enjoyed low riding down the boulevard. In his early years he worked at Todd Shipyard running electrical for all the new battleships in the harbor. During this young time in his life he met his first love Cherlyn, they had 12 wonderful years together raising their sons Doug and Wayne. In 1976 he met his second love Linda and together they lovingly raised four kids, Jason, Adrienne, Rusty and Tennille. As life takes it’s many turns, he later married his third love Patricia. Together they raised and mentored Dino, Tina, Nina, and Bill, along with many grandkids. In 2006 with his son, brother and nephew, they proudly started their own sandblasting company, Simpson Sandblasting.

Throughout his life he was blessed with children that he took under his wing and showed them unconditional love. He was a man that went above and beyond and did many things for others with a pure and selfless heart. He truly is the best of the best and led by example for all those that have been graced to be in his life. As the father of 10, grandpa of 37 and great grandpa of 10, his lovingly presence will be missed beyond any words can express.

He is preceded in death by his Mother Selma, his ex-wife Cherlyn, his wife Patricia, Sisters Eloise and Lorna, brothers Lee Lee and Tommy, and grandson Dylan Shaw.

Ben was a deeply beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He has been a rock to many, and in his example we will continue the path they he has paved for us and we will love and be strong just like him.
