Bernice passed away peacefully on December 3rd, 2016.
She was born to Edward and Nellie Dymek at home on the family farm near Ashton, Nebraska. She married Woodrow Meyers in 1947. After a few years in Omaha the couple moved to Long Beach California where she began a career as an in-store Bakery Manager. Her Marriage to Woody ended in divorce. She later married Glen Martin. The couple enjoyed an active outdoor life, eventually moving to Riverside, California before the marriage ended. She retired in 1994 and developed a wedding venue at her home.
She is survived by sisters Delphine Vavra of Omaha, Nb., Janet Halter of Wilsonville, Or., 4 nieces, three nephews and her informally adopted family of Msgr. Cesar Encinares and James and Susannah Hermandez.
