Cornelia Cruz

Nel went home with our Lord on September 23rd at the age of 80.

She is survived by her husband, Armando; 6 children/3 sons-in-law Ced and Willie; Merly,

Nelda, Mandy, Anne and Vic; Arleen and Elmer; 6 grandchildren/3 grandchildren-in-law

Dennison and Anita; Etheliza and Joseph; Chastine and Jay; Stephen, Camilla and Christian; and

7 great grandchildren Jet, Leah, Jadyn, Josiah, Joaquin, Jrue and one on the way.

She joins in heaven her parents Pedro and Camila and brothers Pablo and Alfeo.

She was born and raised in the Philippines where she earned her Master's degree in Education

and was a schoolteacher for almost 25 years. In 1978, looking for a better future for her chidren,

she migrated to the U.S. She later went back to school to become a licensed nurse, often

working 2 jobs.

As the matriarch of the family she worked very hard and always looked after the welfare of

her children and grandchildren. Also known for her generosity she continued to provide for

her relatives in the Philippines.

She loved life and was always learning something new. She spent her retirement with her husband,

gardening, cooking, taking care of her grandkids, spending time with friends and listening to music.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and relatives who will cherish numerous

fond memories of her.
