I loved Aunt Cindy so much!  It's still hard to believe she is gone!  She was a priceless gift given to us for such a short time.  I will always remember her laugh and beautiful smile.  I know Heaven has lots of yard sales, fields of gorgeous flowers, and a special garden for Aunt Cindy to call her own.  Someday, we will be together again!

I sit here not believing my wonderful and beautiful Aunt Cindy is gone. I remember when I was in 6th grade and had some anxiety problems, Aunt Cindy offered to have me come stay with her for a week.  We talked a lot and at night we would go for long walks behind her house near the train tracks.  I remember going with her and my mom to the swap meets and Aunt Cindy would be so kind and generous to people.  I will miss her laugh and smile that was so contagious. She was such a wonderful decorator, like my mom, and had so much pride in her home and it showed! I remember going to Lake Shasta years ago, we docked inside of this cove where Aunt Cindy decided she would sleep on a lounge chair outside on a little hill, she ended up rolling off the chair--we laughed so much.  Aunt Cindy always threw great parties whether it was for the holidays or celebrating her twin sisters milestone birthdays, it brought family together and those are great memories.  
When I heard the news about her diagnosis, I just couldn't believe this could happen to such a kind hearted person.  She had a rough road and fought till the end, it was heartbreaking and she did not deserve such a fate. I will always remember the love and strength she had for life and her family.  I will never forget you Aunt Cindy, you are among the bright shining stars I see when I look up to Heaven!

I knew this day would come! I was hoping for a little more time, but it wasn't meant to be.  I loved Cindy like she was my own.  She was my baby sister and I loved her like a mother.  
Cindy was a fighter. Six years ago, diagnosed with cancer! So many procedures, a lot of pain and suffering, but she was determined to get better and she did for a few years but that horrible disease came back with a vengeance!
Cindy loved people and doing things for them.  Through her hard work and determination, she put herself through college earning a Masters degree in Social Work.  She was so amazing and had so many great qualities.  I admired her and was so proud of her.
Her home, gardening, flowers, and cooking was her great pleasures.  She also loved boating with her family, cooking, and throwing great parties.  Her grand kids were her greatest joy in her life.
I have shared so many good times, lots of fun, and have many wonderful memories of my sister.  She will be in my heart forever!
She's in the Lords hands now.  So, to my beautiful sister, I will always be thinking of you because you meant so very much to me!!!

I miss you. I hope you can still hear me talking to you. I wish I had another time to go collect pine cones in the mountains  getting lost as always, or going up on your hill in the back yard weed whacking an looking for the gophers tearing up your beautiful flowers. You made every thing we did together so much fun. Thank you for loving me the way you did, always supporting me no matter where I lived. The hardest time in my life ( living in Germany) away from my family, you kept the cards coming with supportive words. You taught me to be selfless and to love everyone no matter who they were. Thank you for always listening an never judging me. I love you so much. I hope there's a lake where you are with beautiful flowers an "cheese burgers in paradise" playing. I met Cindy in the 1980's through church in Moreno Valley. She was always pleasant, helpful and friendly. I'll always remember having a great time at her graduation party. She shared her friend, Cathy, with me and we have been friends for 30 years. Her family has many, many wonderful memories of a loving , kind and generous woman. I am saddened to hear of her passing. I was so very sad to hear of Cindy's passing. A flood of memories filled my heart! When our family relocated to So Cal in 78 she and Steve were some of our first friends. Our youngest son Scott Zahn and their Sean became fast friends. We had some excellent adventures with those boys! Oh my gosh could I tell you! I will miss her laughter and smile. She had such a caring heart and nurturing soul When my marriage ended she was the Wind  Beneath My Wings she was the person who got me back to church where I and my sons were nurtured and I made life long friends Now Steve & Sean and family with those beautiful grandchildren I know there are Hosts of Angels surrounding  you all with love and care  Cindy will be in our hearts forever Cathy Losee

Cindy was such a wonderful, friendly, kind, and beautiful girl in high school.  We lost touch after I married and moved to Texas shortly after high school graduation, but I thought of her many times, always fondly.

My memories of Cindy would fill a book. She was my third sister and we did everything together, mainly laughed, but occasionally cried too. Since we were physically separated by a hill when we were growing up, I can remember taking the family WWII jeep to the top of the hill, picking her up, and spending the rest of the day doing insane things that kids do, or nothing at all. It didn't matter as long as we spent the day together. And then there were those days we would babysit her nieces and nephews. Being closer in age, it was more like joining in a neighborhood party, lots of dancing, and always the laughing! One memory that apparently Cindy cherished as much as I did, because she mentioned it a number of times in later years, was our very grown up trips on the local Greyhound bus at the age of 12 or 13 to downtown Riverside to eat lunch at a local counter and then take in a movie at The Fox. Big doings for two sheltered country girls!  After graduation from high school, she met the love of her life,Steve. I need to add here, she was a very lucky girl!  Anyway, an April wedding was planned, and as always Cindy, thinking of others thought it would be nice to incorporate my favorite color in the wedding since I was maid of honor. How was she to know it was lime green? And how well did that go with the blue she had picked. Fast forward forty years and those are a perfect combination! And that wasn't the end of my surprises for Steve and Cindy for their wedding. I had arranged to spend some time in San Francisco after the wedding, which is where they had planned to spend some of their honeymoon! How gracious of them to add me along for a day.  That was my Cindy, always, always thinking of the other person. The most loving person on the face of this earth. I love you,Cindy.

Cindy, Jay and I shared almost 60 years in and out and about each other's lives together-- through thick and thin and all other joys and disasters that came to each of us. But this final blow to Cindy, what could have been an irrreversible ending to our trio, will not be. Yes, it leaves an obviously visible empty space for Jay and I to look at, but Cindy is always in our hearts so she is with us, and that is how we will keep the three of us together as time goes on from here. 
I was with Cindy a couple of weeks before she passed away and she was resting on the bed and I was next to her. She said, "Dolores, I am thinking of a poem, do you know it-the purple cow one?" And I said, Oh, you mean-"I never saw a purple cow--and she said, "I hope I never see one"--and I said, "But one thing I know for sure" and then she said, "I'd rather see than be one" and we both convulsed in laughter--because these were the kinds of things she and I could always do together on the spur of the moment because we had similar recollections like this. I told her I had not thought about that rhyme for ages and my Dad used to kid around with me and recite it to me. Cindy said, "My Dad did that with me too." And then she fell asleep. I will always remember this time, this laugh we shared together-a very special memory at a very special time and the kind of laugh we had shared so many times over our years together. My aunt Cindy passed.  Sometimes I wonder what God is thinking letting such a wonderful person leave us.  She was my aunt but we were really very close in age.  I remember going to Mission Bell Elementary school together. I must have been in kindergarten and she was in sixth grade.  As years went by she would take the time to play and talk to all of her crazy nephews.  I remember hanging around her and her cute girl friends.  When she got her driver's license, she had Rocky, Marv or 
Doug and me get in the back seat of my Grandpa's Rambler one dark and windy night to find the Lizard Lady.  The Lizard Lady lived on Olive Street near Riverside City College.  As she slowly drove down the street, the wind was blowing the big braches of the pepper trees that lined the street.  She suddenly stopped and screamed "There she is. Get down everyone". She and her girl friends started screaming until we were all screaming.  It was crazy and so was life back then.   I still tell this story to my 4th grade students and they always love it. She grew up as we all did but our memories were gifts that will always be treasured. These memories will always be with me and so will my Aunt Cindy.
