Sister Delois James Dees was born in Beaumont Texas on January 2nd 1947 to the proud parents of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Alta Mae James, where they would name their little girl Presentation James >a name they had chosen from her Hispanic heritage on her mother's side. It was only five short years before Dickie Lee James one of sister Delois' older brothers of 13 Brothers would find a more fitting name to her loving and nurturing character so at 5 years old Little Miss Presentation James became Miss Delois James. Sister Delois alongside her family found their way to Houston Texas where she would start grade school and continue to her high school and graduated from Worthing Senior High School. Sister Delois would go on to marry her childhood and high school sweetheart Sidney Harris Dees at the early age of 19.
