Between backwards masking, backwards talking, the "junk" electronics (tape recorders, transistor radios, 8 Track Tape Players) that actually worked and no one actually suspected they worked...to the motorcycle that ended up in our room graduation weekend at San Pasqual Academy, Doug was one of a kind.  That crazy kid from Yucaipa, CA that no one really understood, that always wanted to be cool, was so cool in his own way.  RIP Doug.  I'll see you on the other side.  

During my time at PSC, no one welcomed me quicker than Doug. I always enjoyed getting to our Tuesday morning meetings a few minutes earlier just to chat with him. I will miss his voice and his stories. 

When I think of Doug, I'm reminded of his big mustache and cheerful attitude.  I first met Doug in 2018 and still have a strong memory of that encounter.  He was standing next to my cubicle, cheerfully explaining how RTUs work.  In his hand was a mug, maybe 1/10 full of coffee.  As he was talking, that same hand kept swinging, unconsciously, by his side, higher and higher.  Eventually every swing was splashing coffee onto the carpet.  I didn't want to say something embarrassing and the carpet was already dirty so I kept letting him spill that coffee.

I'm sorry to hear about his passing.  I'll remember him as always having a warm smile and friendly personality.

I will remember Doug as the guy who'd walk into the Database & Display room with a mug in his hand, looking to spark up conversation.  He was such a knowledgeable person who knew so many random little facts.  When I had first joined the company in 2017, there was a solar eclipse...everyone had gathered outside but quickly realized they couldn't view it because the sun was too bright.  Out of nowhere, Doug comes out with a DVD copy of Star Wars aims it at the sky and starts detailing how this impromptu method actually works.  :-) 

I will remember your personality, enthusiasm and fun character.

Doug and I came to the same group at work about the same time and have been friends ever since and enjoyed many out of town work trips together over the years.
                                                                                                          I will always remember Doug for being able to remember the smallest detail about any obscure topic. Nobody compared to Doug's ability to recall things.
We spent time talking on Ham Radio and his Callsign, AI6SU, will be in my memory as well.                                                                                     
We miss you Doug.                                                                                              
With sadness I offer condolences.

I didn't work with Doug directly but I've known him to be  calm.  I thought he was aloof at first because when I first started back in 2006, I happened to see him outside and in recognizing him as someone in my dept I said, "hi." He looked away and didn't respond but later in time, I saw he was very knowledgeable and friendly and not aloof as I first thought. Goes to show, you can't go by first impressions all the time. May he rest in peace.  --Norma, Power System Controls. 

I will forever remember Doug's kind, soft hearted nature,  he was always ready and eager to help others. Doug loved to share his extensive knowledge, whether it be something technical or just one of the many facts that he had amassed over the years that he graced our world. 

I will especially miss the sound of Doug's laughter, and his dry but spot on wit.

RIP Doug. I will miss you.
