DOUGLAS VAUGHN TEMPLE, age 65, of Colton, California passed away on Saturday October 5, 2019. Douglas was born July 20, 1954. He was survived by his daughters Arica Temple, Fawn Rodriguez and Krystal Temple; mother Shirley Temple; siblings Lori Temple Anderson, Eric Anderson, Keith Temple, Sue Temple, Barry Temple, Angie Temple and David Temple; grandchildren Jeremiah Douglas Temple, Elaina Fernandez, Aleicya Vallejo, Jesse Rodriguez Jr.,Christopher Ranshaw, KimberlyRanshaw, and many neices, nephews and friends that turned to family.
He was preceeded in death by his father Kenneth Temple; grandparents Harold Temple, Eva Temple, Rex Stewart and Alice Stewart; grandson Joshua Fernandez and son in law/best friend Jesse Rodriguez.
Douglas Temple was born in Pennsylvania and shortly after moved to southern California where he was raised to play baseball and prank the neighborhood. As a young adult he was a professional motorcycle racer and was passionate about motorcycles through out his life. Douglas worked for Sunkist in Ontario for over 20years and retired from there. He worked hard and played hard. He worked to support his daughters and did it on his own. He never complained. He loved his girls. He was very proud of his daughters and they were proud of him. He passed with his girls by his side and on his own terms. Douglas was a genuine friend to many, If you knew him, you loved him. He was the wild one with a heart of gold who lived by his own rules and whom everybody loved.
A memorial service for Douglas will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary, 3520 East Washington Street, Colton, California 92324.
