She was born in Redlands, California on August 15, 1932 to Luke and Dora Slagter. She had one brother, Gerald, and two sisters Marcella and Joyce. Ella Jean attended Redlands Christian School and graduated from Redlands High School.
In 1957 she was married Don Moore and they remained married for 58 years until his passing. Ella Jean was a long time member of The River Christian Reformed Church.
She is loved and will be missed by her daughter Terry (Bob) Trujillo, 6 grandchildren, Kirsten (Casey) Overholt, Edwin, Christian, Sarah, Noah and Sofie Trujillo, 6 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
