The Memorial Service for Elmore Naranjo Jornada is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016. It will be held at the Loma Linda University SDA Church in Loma Linda, CA. Interment will follow immediately at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, CA.
Elmore Naranjo Jornada passed away on December 16, 2016 after suffering a massive stroke. He retired as a staff member of La Sierra University Library in Riverside, CA after 19 years of service. Previously, he served the church in the Philippines for over 16 years as Director of Admissions and Registrar of Philippine Union College in Manila, Principal of West Visayan Academy in Iloilo, and as a teacher of English and Literature at Mindanao Mission Academy in Manticao. He began his career as an educator and administrator at a young age and influenced the lives of many students under his care throughout his career.
He is survived by his wife, the former Eunice Malqued; his daughters, Georgette Lisud and Belinda Alexander; his sons, Elmore, Jr. and Elton; his sister, Linda Olarte; 5 grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him as a man of integrity and faith.
