With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Emily, who was surrounded by the love of her family in her final moments. Emily was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, warmth, and unconditional love touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Emily spent her later years living in San Juan Capistrano with her loving daughter, Tracie, whose care and companionship brought her great comfort and joy. She is also lovingly survived by her daughter, Valerie, of Michigan. Emily was preceded in death by her beloved son, Victor, whom she carried forever in her heart.
She leaves behind her dear brother, Joe “Benny” Quezada, and her loving sister, Hope Tamayo, along with a large and cherished family who will continue to honor her memory. Emily was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-grandmother to many. One of her greatest blessings came just six weeks before her passing with the birth of her newest great-grandchild, Julian, who brought her immense happiness and love.
Emily’s life was filled with devotion to her family, quiet strength, and a generous heart. She created countless memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, guidance, and gentle spirit will remain with her family always.
To those I love and who love me
When i am gone, release me, let me go.,
Thave so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears.
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown.
But now it's time I traveled on alone.
So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part.
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on And if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone I will greet you with a smile and say,
"Welcome Home!"
