Indelibly written on my natural inner Facebook was
about “Ling” (we’re “Ling” to each other) who lived with me
in sickness and in health. We enjoyed life together with her
girl helpers in her small home business and caring for our
growing children. She breathed her last by my side. After
about 3 years, added on my Facebook was Mig (our code
name/password) who, like her predecessor, stayed with me
“24/7 through thick and thin” (so to speak). In talking to
acquaintances, she was asked sheepishly, “your father?”
(referring to me). “No, my husband”, she replied. “Oh! And
how many kids have you?, “5”, was her short reply. That’s
how she regard our children. We contentedly lived together,
through laughters, and tears.
Our children: Eric, Jack, Kem, Mark and Noel (in
alphabetical order) collectively, are my trophy from God, for
raising them healthy, obedient kids that made them
responsive responsible family persons as they are. Father
God, thank you for my having had them with Ling and Mig,
in my term on earth!
To everyone here in this event, and to all absentee
mourners, thank you for your kind words, condolences and
empathy!
Mig, I leave with you our 5 children:
Eric, Kem, Jack, Mark, Noel – I hold you responsible to
your younger mother (your age and childless, anyway) who
cares for you.
Good night! See you all in the morning!
