Flavia A Hernandez

FLAVIA (FAY) ATILANO HERNANDEZ went home to be with our Lord, June 2, 2011, peacefully, at home, with her family by her side. She fought a courageous 4 year battle with brain cancer. She was a dedicated loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. The wonderful way she showed her love was through her extraordinary cooking talent and tirelessly taking care of her family. She was born in San Bernardino, California, on Oct. 5, 1931. In 1950, she married Salvador Hernandez, they then moved to Colton, where she raised their family and lived for 61 years. Flavia is survived by her children: Virginia Hernandez Reed and son-in-law, William of Fontana, James Hernandez of Colton, Belinda Hernandez of Colton, Diana Hernandez Lavoie and son-in-law, Norman of Highland, Karla Hernandez Schmidt and son-in-law, Stephen of Long Beach; Grandchildren: Jason, Aaron, Jay, Jacob Hernandez, Samuel Lavoie, Salvador Schmidt; Great Grandchildren: Julia, Jeremiah, Benjamin Hernandez; her sisters: Jesse Martinez, and Alicia Ruvalcaba. Memorial Service at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton, CA, on Monday, June 13th at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow.
