home. Frances was a mighty person in a small frame. She worked for, and retired
from, the Division of Highways (now Cal Trans) where she met her husband of 40
years, Wilbur. She enjoyed reminiscing about her life’s travels and her life was full
of adventures including trips to Switzerland, Egypt, Yugoslavia, Turkey, Fiji, and
France, but she was always happy to return to her family home in Calimesa where
she lived for 61 years. Other happy family memories were made at the vacation
home she and her husband had in Corona Beach, Mexico. Frances remained very
sharp-minded, kept everything organized, and managed her own affairs. She was
devoted to her family and steadfastly attended to her faith with the help of her friends
at Valley Baptist Fellowship. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and
enjoyed her wit, sly smile, and caring nature.
Frances was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur Jacques. She is survived by her
sons, Chris Jacques (and Christie), and Jere Jacques (and Joyce); her
grandchildren, J.J. Jacques and Angie Jacques (and Alec); and her sister Janice
Bradbury (and Jim). To commemorate her life, a service will be held at Valley
Baptist Fellowship at 12323 5th Street, Yucaipa on 07/09/24 at 10:00 a.m. followed
by a reception at the same site.
