Frank was born on July 6, 1955 in Los Angeles California to Frank and Joan Ward. He moved to Huntington Beach as a young boy and called Huntington Beach his home until joining the Air Force to become a fire fighter after graduating high school in 1973. has 3 sisters Sharon, Carolyn and Kathy all younger than him. Frank enjoyed terrorizing his younger sisters using them as target practice whenever he could get them to run back and fourth until his mother would catch him. He began surfing as a young man. He last surfed in Hawaii on vacation a few years back to show his son he could still ride a wave. He had many passions in life and enjoyed dirt bikes while he was younger and still had a street bike to this day. He played Golf weekly and loved to be the photographer for all the family events. He most recently took up skydiving as a new hobby. He said it was the closest thing to flying and fell in love with the sport after his first jump and went on to become certified. He is wearing his custom flight suit under his dress suit now since he will be flying with the angles. He was injured while being a fire fighter in the Air Force and was not able to continue his dream of fire fighting as his career. He then moved on to what ended up his favorite passion and lifetime career which was construction. He loved to see the finished product and leave his foot print of commercial buildings and schools throughout Southern California. Frank was smart and could do or be anything he wanted to be. He chose construction and was not only proud of it but good at it. He quickly earned the reputation of one of the best wood framers in the trade. He loved his job and really began to love it when he started instructing apprentices for the Southwest Carpenters Union. The Union was good to him and he believed in it. He felt he could make a difference in the quality of men in the field and was always willing to share his tricks of the trade he had learned in the field. He was the current President of the 909 local in Ontario. He is know for being tuff but fare and not afraid of anything. If asked what people thought of Frank Ward Jr. they would say he was the most honest hard working but fair asshole out there! he walked the walk and talked the talk and was respected though out the industry for it. Frank leaves behind his wife Kimberly but always known by Frank as “ his little Kimmy” they spent 31 years together and raised two boys whom he loved so much, Curtis and Christopher, his three sisters Sharon, Carolyn and Kathy and so many nieces and nephews which loved him as much as he loved them! Frank also had a Godson named Kenny which he bragged about often and so many close friends like all of you. Frank will be missed by everyone who knew him but we all know Frank and he will be watching over us as well. Till we meet again!
Frank is survived by his wife Kimberly, two sons Curtis and Christopher and Three sisters Sharon Metzger, Carolyn Ward and Kathy Armstrong.
