Hermy, I can’t believe that it has been 2 years since you went to your eternal life with Jesus. Our thanks to your family who continue to make you proud! Every one at St Adelaide’s misses you!

Hermie, a special friend & fellow  St. Adelaide parishioner in Christ is now an Angel smiling down from heaven on his family & friends.
There’s no doubt in my mind that he’s dancing with his angelic wife & all the dearly departed Pinays in heaven as Hermie was the Filipino Fred Astaire & Gene Kelly…he did not tap dance, but he could Rhumba, Samba, Cha-Cha & Swing  with the best!

Lolo Hermie,
You are gone, but you will never be forgotten. We may be apart, but your memory will live within us forever.
Thank you for the stories and memories you shared to us when you are in Nueva Ecija, Philippines.

Dear Danny – 
Let me offer our deepest sympathy to you and your family. It’s unfortunate that I lost a very dear friend. He was like a brother to me. We shared jokes that sometimes we laugh at, especially when we recall our lives as high school and college students, though from different generations. 

I miss buying lottery tickets and share every two weeks with him, hoping that if we won, we would charter a plane to the Philippines and enjoy life there, with our winnings. I miss picking up the daily newspaper after he read it, although sometimes I knew most of what happened ahead of time because I watched the news every night. I miss him dearly; I lost a wonderful person and a hero (a veteran at that). RIP Compadre.

My brother, knowing all the stories and memories you made and shared, demonstrated your immense love and respect for your father.  I fondly remember your chest filled with honor and pride when speaking about your dad's honorable service to our country. I remember how you shared how organized he was, how everything had a place, and everything was so thoughtfully planned out. I remember the stories of him loving on his grandchildren and how much he spoiled them. I remember fondly all the stories of your childhood and how he was present in it, and always a call away.
Having met your dad once, at your University of Redlands graduation, I can tell he was so proud of you! His eyes lit up when he spoke to me briefly about how proud he was of you. I could tell he had immense respect for you as a man, father, husband, and specifically, son. 
Danny, he may be resting now, but he still lives in your heart, soul, mind, and through your children. Words can never and will never take the sting of death away, but knowing you have people around you to support you and be available for you to lean on, is what may ease some of that sting.
May God's peace, love, mercy, faith, and comfort be poured out upon you and your family.
